“Star Bar is a great venue,” said Chuck Rosencranz Channel 2’s Elizabeth Rawlins. “It’s been going on for a long time.”
Since 1991, the Star Bar has made a name for itself, creating a popular and passionate clientele.
A new redevelopment project could change all that. The proposal was announced at a zoning committee meeting with the Candler Park Neighborhood Association.
Star Bar officials say current plans include demolishing the existing building, according to social media posts.
The proposal also includes a property on Euclid Avenue adjacent to Little Five Points.
“It’s a historic place, but it’s also East Atlanta culture and part of what’s happening here in Little 5,” Beth Tipper said.
Official plans have not been voted on or decided.
