Kaulig Racing announces the composition of the 2022 team leaders

Kaulig Racing announced on Saturday its roster of team managers for NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series entries this season:

Cup Series

No. 16 Chevrolet Team Leader Matt Swiderski driven by AJ Allmendinger, Daniel Hemric and Noah Gragson.

Swiderski started his title as Team Manager for Kaulig Racing for the team’s part-time schedule in the 2021 Cup Series season. In just his seventh start as a crew chief, Swiderski won the Verizon 200 at The Brickyard on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course with AJ Allmendinger. Season 2022 will mark Swiderski’s first full-time season as a team manager in the NCS.

Trent Owens, crew chief of No.31 Chevrolet driven by Justin Haley.

Veteran crew chief Trent Owens joins Kaulig Racing for the team’s first full-time Cup Series season with Justin Haley.

With a resume that covers NASCAR’s top three series, Owens recently held the Team Manager title for Ryan Preece at JTG Daugherty Racing. During his tenure as a team manager in the Cup Series, Owens made 287 starts, picking up one win, eight top five and 31 top 10.

Xfinity Series

Jason Trinchere, team leader of the No. 10 Chevrolet driven by Landon Cassill.

Trinchere started his role as Team Manager for Allmendinger and the No.16 Chevrolet during the 2021 Xfinity Series season. Together, the duo have won five victories, including the regular season championship. This year, Trinchere will team up with veteran driver Landon Cassill for the 2022 season.

Alex Yontz, team leader of the No. 11 Chevrolet driven by Daniel Hemric.

Also returning for his third season as team manager, Alex Yontz will take the lead for defending Xfinity Series champion Daniel Hemric. Since taking on the role of Team Manager for the No.11 Chevrolet, Yontz has recorded four wins with Haley.

Bruce Schlicker, No. 16 Chevrolet Team Leader driven by AJ Allmendinger.

Kicking off his third season with Kaulig Racing, Bruce Schlicker will take over as Allmendinger crew chief in the # 16 Xfinity Series Chevrolet. In his first two seasons with Kaulig Racing, Schlicker held the No. 10 Chevrolet Team Manager title with drivers Ross Chastain and Jeb Burton. He scored a victory in the 2021 season with Burton.
