Jalandhar, February 10

After the Ferozepur rally fiasco on January 5, a massive campaign is launched by the BJP to mobilize workers ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Jalandhar rally on February 14.

From the mobilization of party workers to the door-to-door campaign of the BJP youth wing, the party is pulling out all the stops to ensure a strong turnout at the upcoming rally. The Prime Minister will speak at public rallies on February 14, 16 and 17 in Jalandhar (Doaba), Pathankot (Majha) and Fazilka (Malwa), respectively. In Jalandhar, the Prime Minister is expected to hold a rally at the PAP Grounds. Party leaders said a crowd of 40,000 to 50,000 is expected to be mobilized for the rally.

Party leaders see the visit as a “game changer” for the state. A team of BJP leaders including Union Minister Gajendra Shekhawat, former mayor Sunil Jyoti and BJP district chief Sushil Sharma visited the scene. Meanwhile, party leaders said from the mandal chairpersons and organizing secretaries to the party candidates, everyone had been asked to mobilize the cadres.

Members of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) also organized a door-to-door campaign in the district and distributed leaflets. The campaign will continue until February 13.

Jalandhar rally leader Jyoti said, “We are planning a massive rally for the prime minister. At least 12 to 15 constituencies of Doaba are concerned… The rally will have an impact on the floating voter.

BJYM state media officer Arjun Trehan said, “We have launched a door-to-door campaign today to let people know about the rally.” State Vice President and Virtual Rally Leader Rakesh Rathour said: “We are confident that this will change the mood of the state. Preparations are made in accordance with the Covid protocol. »
